Turmeric For Reducing TumorsVizslaMomma replied to mybilly's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming Have you heard of Sandy Bay Vets? They offer Holistic treatment for dogs. With the Golden paste, I used to let Gabor lick it off my fingers.... bit gross for some. At least he got the paste into him & it helped his stiff bones.

Turmeric For Reducing TumorsVizslaMomma replied to mybilly's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming Yes, a friend who breeds Vizsla in the USA prolonged the life of her boy. She used a combination of tumeric and curcumin. Now both of these together are what fights. I have a URL she sent me http://www.dogcancerblog.com/blog/spice-of-life-curcumin-and-dog-cancer/ I have other friends who know this breeder. They had 'ailing' dogs & changed their diet to RAW plus tumeric, curcumin & Vet prescribed supplements. Hope this helps you. :)

Another suggestion, and one I used when both Tibor & Gabor were 'seedy' in the chills of winter came from this company. It's Back Country Freeze Dried foods. There are several different choices. All are dehydrated & it's simple to add water to make the consistency wanted. It's human grade food, not over spicy..... http://backcountrycuisine.co.nz/bcc/ check out the above. There are retialers in most states in OZ I have also used the food rations from CFA!!!! There was a fab chicken, rice & vegetables that were so easy to swallow for Gabor.

aw, first thing I thought of is maybe taking some info from DDD & Danny. DDD has Danny drinking lactose free milk, ice cream & makes a bone broth. Is darling wee Mac excluded from this type of food? Tibor used to adore scrambled eggs too & right up until his end ate well. He never overate ever... Can Mac have oils? Am I correct Mac could manage slurries?

How To Become A Licensed Judge In Australia.VizslaMomma replied to JessicaM's topic in General Dog Discussion http://www.dogssa.com.au/ Your State has a section training and aspirant judges. Be ready to take a couple of years out of your life, a lot of study and try to develop a thick skin should you not already have one. :D

Come Test Drive A Greyhound With Us!VizslaMomma replied to HazyWal's topic in General Dog Discussion Yep they're called a slipping track BCC, they are a straight fenced track that trainers use but a lot of rescue groups use them too. I used to take Stan to the one at Gosford Dog track on Showground Rd but he'd only run up once and want to go home  I wonder if there had been a fridge at both ends might Stan have run better? Just a beaut video.

Can I just ask this? Would you risk a wee Chi in the sea though? Or have I misread the thread?

I wonder if Dogs in Motion at Moorabbin might be of use then? They have a treadmill. :)

Friend's Neo would take the bowl, walk outside and dumpt the entire contents on the pathway and proceed to devour like a vacuum cleaner.

Morning Sickness MedicationsVizslaMomma replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in General Dog Discussion If Danny was a diabetic, would you be able to give him needles? If so, would administering the medications by injection work?

Thinking of getting that then. Recall is one of Herbert's BIG plus behaviours. I start recall as soon as a puppy comes home. Have the chewed long lines too. :D

Some of us have the Leslie Nielson Flighing High DVD version.

	You created a monster.

I make up my own. Ingredients 6 tablespoons baking soda ½ teaspoon salt 1 cube of beef bouillon (or vegetable for a vegan version) 1 teaspoon dried or fresh parsley 1 teaspoon water Directions 1. Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly in a small bowl, adding a bit more water if necessary to make a paste. 2. Store in an airtight container and use daily. If you use Massel cubes, you can omit the salt.

I wonder if your Vet might look after the puppy for the week-end for you? Our Vet allowed our old boy to stay rather than have him in strange surroundings. I am thinking the shorter time frame might work better for your wee Frenchie. :D

Morning Sickness MedicationsVizslaMomma replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in General Dog Discussion Wonder if you are still at home or already left? Maybe ask the Vet if a drug called Propulsid or Cisapride could be considered. It allows quick passage of food thro' the system to reduce food 'sitting' & casuing nausea. You know how humans eat & the undigested food 'sits' in our stomach & makes us feel poorly: can happen with dogs. & just a wee bit OT, Mylanta flattens me.... makes me chunder. Sorry TMI

I should think part of the excitment of a new puppy: we so wonder what and how they will grow up to be especially with a breed like yours.... any chance of photos yet ( please, pretty please)?
