speaking of booking puppy classes, I took a visit to the vets today to talk about puppy classes and to take the thank-you card & collage pic of Casper. It's the first time i've been back since the day Casper was pts. I was doing fine til the nurse asked if it was the first time i'd been back since that day. Needless to say after that i was a blubbering mess even when talking about Wilbur

We're down to 11 sleeps too! I've noticed that the closer the day rolls to Wilbur coming home, the more emotional i get about losing Casper. I've been doing all the 'moving forward' things like ticking the 'deceased pet' box on the council registration form and online microchipping data base and i think it's the finality of those things that has me in bouts of tears. I'm so very looking forward to holding little Wilbur in my arms and cuddling his fluffy little body and having lots of licky kisses.

What time on Friday (12th) do you pick your bundle of joy up? Wilbur's flight get's in at 3:30 pm and we pick him up at 4:00. I'll be waiting at the freight centre at about 3:05 pm

11 sleeps will fly past!! At least you can remember puppy cuddles! This will be my first time ever holding a puppy!! Yep, its true! I've never held a puppy before in my 23 long years!!!

enjoy every moment of the puppy cuddles because they grow soooo fast. Not including childhood family dogs, Wilbur will be our 3rd puppy, but there have been 10 and then 14 years between each one arriving. I'm not looking forward to the broken sleeps, but am looking forward to all the other fun things about raising another puppy.

Awww thanks :) My partner will do most of the nights I'm hoping. We don't live in the best area and its freezing of a night here in Tassie! Not to mention the stairs that go down to our backyard lol!!

I'm picking mine up in the morning of the 12th, no set time yet. She's only 10 mins from me:)

I'm doing puppy class with Carolyn Read. she has a rolling group now, so you can join on any week and not have to wait for the next lot. I have all the info from when we took Fly to her but i really value her work and advice and of course puppy gets to play with other dogs In a natural setting with lots of strange noises, lawnmower, chickens etc We will then go straight into foundation puppy agility at about 16 weeks :)

Ohhh I envy you having your pup only ten minutes away!! Ours is over 4 hours away!! I envy people who got to see their lil pups as newborns!!

I wonder if there's a thunder noise cd you can get to play so that the pup gets used to thunder? We had terrible thunder here last night
