cassie Posted April 10, 2013 Share Posted April 10, 2013 RIP my dear Zephyr 29/12/04 - 08/04/13 Diagnosed with lymphoma less than two weeks before his demise. He was my first dog and a true gentle giant. Everyone who knew him loved him. Zephyr used to sleep with his paw touching my foot while I was watching tv or reading, so if I got up, he would know. He was the kind of dog that would do anything for me, his Mum, but chose when it suited him to obey others. He loved other animals and people, although he had a sixth sense about some people and was wary of them, and I trusted this implicitly. I will never forget the day Zeph and I were at an off lead dog park. He was 50m away sniffing around and doing his own thing. Suddenly a fight broke out between two other dogs, practically under my feet. Zeph crossed that park in about 2 seconds flat and put himself between me and the other dogs, backing up against me as if trying to move me away, but never taking his eyes off them. I had met him and I think we have some footage of him on a couple SA Dolers meet and greet you tube videos.
